Lazy lawn care in action:
-lots of cheap fertilizer
-mow it
-pre emergent
-water when it needs it

After I wrecked my sod, I dove into educating myself about lawns and grass, and was able to re-seed (it was nearly a renovation) and bring it back to life. I’ve been way down the lawn rabbit hole and decided that the above list will get you a really, really nice lawn. Anything beyond this is diminishing returns.

There are other approaches to lawns that might need different care (short lawns, for example), but this is perfect for cool season lawns mowed to 3-4”, imo.

Cheers.

I forgot to add a fifth key point to my lawn care philosophy which is to mount a broom to your mower.

    Sorry for the oversight.

First off incredible… second I would double cut the two lines off the tree edge bubble to even up the lines

Holy crap that’s great work!! Same zone and renovating from Bermuda to tttf this fall and seeing pictures like yours of beautiful tttf this far south makes me feel good about possible success.

  6. Fuck ya! This wasn’t my best year but glad for you

Pretty nuts for TTTF to be holding up this well in the heat of 8a. Congrats!

  8. Where in 8A are you? I’ve had a bad year with tall fescue this year with the heat/humidity/near constant rain. I basically turned my sprinklers off for the last 2 months and it still got heat stress and rotted out from disease in the last 3 weeks just from rain alone. I’m in the Greensboro area
